Renovation photos: Exterior

Exterior Gallery

The very first time we met with Patrick, our architect, he suggested using corrugated metal for the exterior siding of the house. "It'll rust in place!" he said.

We were familiar with the Bachman House, which is just down the street from where I was living at the time, and we had seen other examples of similar siding. I really liked the idea of a house that could age gracefully. We were game.

The rust won't start to show for a few (5? 10?) years, and will appear around the rivets first.
